Sara Eisen

SaraSara Aliza Eisen (American television journalist) is currently working with CNBC. She serves as the co-anchor of the channel's shows 'Squawk on the Street as well as 'Closing bell'. She's an Ohio native and was not interested in currencies or markets while in college. While attending New York University she interned for ForexTV.com. This was the place where she got the first experience of business news. In the following years, she completed the master's degree in broadcast journalism at Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism. Then, she took on an eight-month internship at Bloomberg TV in Hong Kong. When she returned to the US after which she started to work for Bloomberg's offices in New York. She was a TV anchor eventually. In December 2013, she was hired by CNBC as an anchor. After being a co-anchor for "Worldwide Exchange," and Power Lunch', she was recruited by CNBC in December 2013. She then got the job at Closing Bell in 2018. Eisen has been co-anchoring the show 'Squawk on the Street since the year 2014. She is among the most respected business journalists today. Since her arrival at CNBC, her primary concern has been global consumer news.
