Robyn Rihanna, better popularly known as Rihanna in Barbados, is a Barbadian performer and musician who has given us popular songs such as Pon de Replay Umbrella SOS and Take a Bow. Young and extremely accomplished singer and songwriter, she's already one of history's best selling performers. Her parents are originally from Barbados, and she started singing in the early years of her life. Disturbed by their chaotic home life as well as the constant arguments between her parents, she immersed her self in music. She soon realized she wished to become an accomplished singer. They formed a group while still in high school and had the opportunity to an audition with music producer Evan Rodgers who was highly impressed by the teenager's talents. In order to make money in the field of professional singing she was asked to move to New York. Rihanna dropped her first album and was an overnight sensation. Her uplifting songs became most popular among young people and enticed her to make films. As a talented young woman Rihanna has been recognized as a teenage idol. Rihanna is also actively involved in helping charities and uses her popularity to help charities.
